The National President, Mr. Toyyib Alawode has led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the esteemed members of Yaba Jamaat on Thursday 26th October, 2023.
Mr Okunlenu Shamsudeen, the acting Jama’at President, received the team with a warm reception and commended their dedication to balancing academic pursuits with Jamaat activities. He encouraged AMSA members, emphasizing that despite the challenges, the youth have the strength to contribute significantly to Allah’s service whenever the need arises.

Amidst the gathering was Mr. Bakare Murtadha, the Jamaat General Secretary and a proud alumnus of the University of Lagos (UNILAG). He shared a historical account of AMSA UNILAG’s humble beginnings, recalling meetings held in Dr. Mashud Fashola’s living room due to challenges faced by Ahmadiyya Muslims on campus. He expressed gratitude for Allah’s blessings, enabling AMSA UNILAG to flourish over the years.
The reception was attended by esteemed Yaba Jamaat members, including Muallim Arayemi Habeebullah representing the Circuit Missionary, Pa Tajudeen Ayinla, the Jamaat Vice President, Brother Tijani Yahya, Taleem/Tarbiyya Secretary, and Mr. Salahudeen Waliyullah, Tarbiyya Secretary Nau Mubain. AMSA’s delegation, led by the National President, included Brother Sodiq Eniola, the national Vice President, Brother Mustapha Abdul-Hakeem, General Secretary, Brother Ihsan-Ahmad Sodeko, Assistant General Secretary and President of AMSA Lagos State, and Brother Abdur Raqeeb Ya’qub, UNILAG President, among others.

The event was marked by valuable words of advice and commendation from the Jamaat members, underscoring the efforts of AMSA members nationwide. AMSA Nigeria expresses gratitude for the warm reception and remains committed to serving Allah and the community with zeal and devotion.
