AMSA NIGERIA GETS THE WARMEST WELCOME FROM EKSU VC

The Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association Nigeria paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Prof. Edward Olanipekun. The visit is to extend regard to the Vice Chancellor who has the utmost authority as the general overseer in the university, equally hosting the Annual Higher Institution Convention of the association.

The VC received the delegation on Thursday, 20th October, 2022 in his office. The Vice President, Bro. Sodiq Eniola who was the spokesperson introduced the President and his entourage.

In his speech, The AMSA President, Comr. Toyyib Alawode informed the Vice Chancellor of the activities of the association and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at at large, stating the humanitarian exercises, community services and orientation programmes to mention but a few. He also mentioned a couple of other courtesy visitations as part of the pre-AHIC activities.

Responding, the VC expressed appreciation to AMSA for their activities in the university and across the country. He acknowledged the beauty of the activities as a right step to promote inter religious peace and harmony.

He also reiterated the need to engage in activities that will foster peace in the society.

The Assistant General Secretary, Comr. Ihsan Ahmad Sodeko commended the VC and the university for the academic excellence and sporting expertise of the students which was quite apparent in the representatives of the university at the Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) held in March 2022 at the University of Lagos. He also implored that the sporting facilities be renovated to further improve the performance of the students in future games.

In his response, the Vice Chancellor gladly welcome his observation and added that efforts are ongoing to facelift the sporting facilities of the university.

Lastly, he embraced the convention and pledged his support towards its success.

Others present at the visitation were the Ekiti State Chapter President, Bro. Shamsudeen Jimoh; Tabligh (Preaching) Secretary, Bro. AbdulBasit Oladejo; Kano State President, Bro. Muhammad Munir, General Secretary Ekiti State, Bro. Abdulrazaq Anjorin; Public Relations Officers, Bro. Abdulquadri Olanrewaju and Bro. AbdulGaffar Banuso, also present is Hafiz Sulaymon AbdulQuddus.
