
In continuation of the ongoing pre-AHIC engagements, the National Executives of the Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association (AMSA) has paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Rasheed A. Odunola, Director of Health Services at the University of Ilorin, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The meeting centered on AMSA’s forthcoming medical outreach, a blood donation drive and free health check-up scheduled to take place on campus in collaboration with the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital and Humanity First.

In his opening remarks, AMSA National President, Hafiz Sulaimon AbdulQudus, introduced the delegation and briefed Dr. Odunola on the association’s activities and the objectives of the proposed medical exercise. He explained that the initiative forms part of AMSA’s pre-AHIC programs aimed at promoting health awareness, humanitarian service, and community impact among students.

Dr. Odunola commended AMSA for its consistent humanitarian initiatives and acknowledged the positive impact of its projects within and beyond the University of Ilorin community. He described the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at as a well-established and widely respected organization in Nigeria and lauded the association’s commitment to health-related and welfare-driven programs. Offering professional guidance, he advised the team on key medical considerations for the upcoming outreach, emphasizing the importance of Packed Cell Volume (PCV) tests, adherence to safety procedures, and proper coordination with medical experts.

The meeting concluded with mutual words of appreciation and group photographs to commemorate the occasion. It further strengthened AMSA’s collaboration with the University Health Services and provided valuable insights to ensure the success and safety of the upcoming medical outreach, reflecting the association’s enduring commitment to service, health awareness, and community development.
