AMSA Strengthens Ties with Kwara State Auditor, Reaffirms Commitment to Accountability

As part of the ongoing pre-AHIC engagement activities, the National Executives of the Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association (AMSA) paid a courtesy visit to the Kwara State Government Auditor and National Auditor of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, King Yusuff Hussein, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The visit was aimed at strengthening the association’s relationship with key figures within the Jama’at while drawing valuable lessons from their professional and spiritual insights.

In his remarks, King Yusuff Hussein advised the executives to be sincere and consistent in their payment of Chanda, describing it as both a spiritual obligation and a principle that ensures personal and collective prosperity. He noted that “givers never lack,” emphasizing that maintaining financial discipline reinforces one’s faith and commitment to service.

Speaking further on the challenge of corruption in Nigeria’s public sector, King Yusuff lamented that corruption remains widespread, particularly in procurement processes, and identified systemic weaknesses that make it difficult to tackle effectively. He called for a proactive, rather than reactive, approach to anti-corruption efforts and urged the students to embody transparency, honesty, and accountability in all their dealings.

Responding on behalf of the delegation, AMSA National President, Hafiz Sulaimon AbdulQudus, expressed appreciation to the Auditor for receiving the team. He thanked him for his wise counsel and briefly outlined AMSA’s ongoing programs and preparations for the forthcoming Annual Higher Institutions Convention (AHIC).

The visiting delegation comprised several national officers, including the National President, Hafiz Sulaimon AbdulQudus; National Vice President (South West), Bro. Sheriffdeen Saula; National Vice President (Administrative), Bro. Arowosere AbdulKhabeer; National General Secretary, Bro. Adeeyo Masroor-Mahmud; Assistant General Secretary, Hafiz Faruq Ademoye; National Sports Secretary, Hafiz Hayat Abdullah; National Secondary School Coordinator, Bro. AbdulAwwal Intisor; Kwara State AMSA President, Bro. Akorede Musowwir; University of Ilorin AMSA President, Hafiz Fouadh Busari; Public Relations Officers, Bro. Towolawi Aleemuddeen and Bro. Adenekan Abdul Ganiy; Assistant Ta’leem Secretary, Hafiz Fadlul-Mun’im; and Health Secretary, Bro. Oladele AbdulBasit, among others.

The visit concluded with a group photograph and final words of appreciation. It provided the executives with valuable insights into ethical leadership and accountability while reinforcing AMSA’s mission to blend academic pursuit with moral and spiritual excellence, ideals that strongly reflect the theme of this year’s AHIC.
